Vision
To build a successful AI powered cross-platform application that makes interaction with local governments seamless, enhance sense of community and positive competition amongst towns.
Our Story
One morning in our suburban Massachusetts neighborhood, we woke up to an unexpected problem—our water supply was completely shut off. With no prior notice, we scrambled to figure out what was happening.
As we stepped outside, we saw our neighbors doing the same, searching for answers. It wasn’t until we spotted a small notice taped to a mailbox that we learned the town had scheduled maintenance, and the water would be off for the rest of the day.
That moment sparked a realization: communication between local governments and residents is broken.
If a town in one of America’s leading tech hubs still relies on paper notices, what about the rest of the country? In an age where information is at our fingertips, why should critical updates be so hard to access?
As working professionals and parents of two kids, we rarely have time to attend town meetings or sift through government websites to stay informed. We often found ourselves asking: How does our local government actually work? How do we voice our concerns? Who represents us?
We knew we weren’t alone. Many families, busy professionals, and engaged citizens want an easier way to stay connected with their communities and make their voices heard.
That’s why we created Borough—a modern solution to bridge the gap between residents and local governments. Our mission is simple: make civic engagement effortless, transparent, and accessible to everyone.
Whether it’s receiving real-time updates, raising concerns, or understanding local policies, Borough empowers communities to stay informed and have a say in the decisions that impact their daily lives.
Because in today’s world, no one should have to find out about a water shutoff from a mailbox flyer.
